African Soul Surfer’s owner Jamie is a major partner in running the Local Surf Lounge Academy non-profit organisation.
The project Lele & his team run is incredible, providing a safe space plus the gift of surfing to a large crew of ‘lighties’ from a super rough & tough community (Capricorn Park) down the road. These kids deal with major poverty, gang violence, shootings on a daily basis, and the safe haven of the clubhouse and the healing stoke of the waves is like therapy for these innocent children born into gnarly situations.
